Founded in 1994, The OXOXO Gallery is one of the foremost Contemporary
Jewelry and Object Venues in the United States. Owner and Director Judy
Donald has created a wonderfully quirky showcase for the work of modern
artists from all over the world.
The gallery is located in the charming village of Mount Washington, which
lies on the edge of Baltimore City. Housed on the first floor of a historic
wooden ramshackle former dwelling, the OXOXO Gallery has a remarkable
collection culled from over 200 artists. Contemporary jewelry is the primary
focus, yet small sculpture and artwork are often featured alongside the
wearable masterpieces.
While the gallery carries work by a large and revolving group of artists,
new efforts are constantly arriving, and featured special exhibitions
are mounted 6-8 times a year. The exhibitions can vary wildly in size
and thematic content. A one person showcase can be followed by an international
holiday invitational. The variety of the exhibitions, like the amazing
diversity of the gallery's collection, reflects the multitude of founder
Judy Donald and her staff's aesthetic interests and inspirations.
